MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis head men's golf coach Grant Robbins announced the addition of Thomas Perrot (Paris, France) and Eithel McGowen (Lima, Peru) to the Tigers roster for the spring 2013 season.

"We are looking forward to Thomas and Eithel joining the team this spring," Robbins said. "They both bring a great deal of international experience and have the ability to make an impact on our program right away."

Perrot, a June 2012 graduate of Saint Jean de Passy, finished sixth in stroke play at the 2012 French Junior Tournament and tied for seventh in stroke play at the 2012 British Boys Championship. Perrot also gained other international experience by tying for 12th at the 2012 Spanish International Junior Championship. In July, Perrot tied for 18th at the Grand Prix d'Hossegor in France.

McGowen, a December 2011 graduate of Santa Maria Marianistas High School, was a member of the Peruvian National Team and competed in the 2012 World Amateur Tournament in Turkey. In 2012, McGowen won the La Plancie Open and qualified for the Peru Open on the PGA Tour Latin America.

McGowen won the 2011 Peruvian Junior Match Play Championship while finishing runner-up at the 2010 Peruvian Amateur. McGowen had top-25 finishes at the 2010 Orange Bowl Junior Invitational and the Doral International Junior while taking 16th at the 2011 South American Junior Amateur.

Perrot and McGowen will come in as true freshmen and join nine other Tigers to make up the 2013 spring roster. Memphis returns to action Saturday, February 9 when the team travels to Gainesville, Fla., for the Gator Invitational.
