Tiger Golf Heads to Mobile Bay for First Event of Spring

Preston McClellan, Undergraduate Assistant - MEMPHIS, Tenn.—The University of Memphis golf team travels to Mobile, Ala. to compete in the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate hosted by South Alabama. The tournament is being held at Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course (par 72, 7,212 yards). A total of 18 teams will be competing this week: Akron, Arkansas State, Belmont, Illinois State, Iowa State, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Kentucky, Louisville, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Mississippi, Mississippi State, South Alabama, South Florida, Southern Mississippi, Toledo and Vanderbilt. Memphis finished tied for eighth at the St. Mary’s College Invitational, the squad’s final event of the fall. The Tigers were led by Jack Belote’s (76-75-72) 21st place finish.
