TAMPA, Fla.- Battling the swirling winds which preceded a storm Saturday, the Memphis Men's Golf team is tied for 9th with one round remaining at the USF Invitational in Tampa with a team score of 621 (53-over).

Jacksonville State is in the lead with a team score of 598 (30-over). They were followed by second place South Alabama whom shot a 600 (32-over).

Memphis golfer Alan Weant, who was in 6th place after Round 1, struggled on day two shooting an 81 (10-over), giving him a 153 (11-over) tournament score which left him in 19th place amongst individual scores. Teammates Michael Prieur and David Jeans shot a 156 (14-over) thus far. Prieur's second round 73 (2-over) was the best by a Memphis golfer. He trimmed 10 strokes off of his first round score of 83 (12-over).

Richard Jones shot a 159 (17-over) and Cobb Andrews shot a 170 (28-over) for the tourney.

Fredrick Ohlsson of Fr. Marion currently leads the tournament by shooting an even par 142 for the first two rounds.
