Orlando, Fla. - The University of Memphis men's golf team is tied for seventh out of an 18 team field after 36 holes of the Rio Pinar Invitational. Senior Ian Rochester is in third place with a 7-under par 137 after two rounds.

Rochester, who shot a second round 68, was one of three Tigers to shoot under par in the second round. Sophomore Brandon Bunn shot a three-under 69 and junior Brad Benjamin fired a 70. Bunn is tied for 13th overall with a 142 and Benjamin is tied for 29th with a 142. Freshman Stefan Erdedi shot 157 and senior Robbie Greenwell shot a 158.

As a team, the Tigers have a score of 578 through two rounds. Memphis opened the tournament with a 295 in the first round and improved that score with a 283 in the second round and moved from a tie for 12th into a tie for seventh.

Host school Central Florida has a six stroke lead over Wichita State entering the final round. UCF's Greg Forest and Mike Stern head the field, posting a 134 and 136 respectively.

The Tigers will wrap up play at the Rio Pinar on Tuesday.
