BATON ROUGE- The Memphis Men's Golf team finished tied for 14th at the LSU Spring Invitational on the University Club Golf Course near the LSU campus.
Memphis shot an 896 (32-over) for the weekend. The Tigers were in 10th place after two rounds, but a rough final round of 306 (18-over) dropped the Tigers to a 14th place finish. LSU won the tournament with an 868 (4-over) score for the weekend.
"We just didn't play good golf this weekend," said interim coach Bob Winn.
Alan Weant led the way for Memphis with a 222 (6-over) performance for the weekend giving him the 30th best score at the tourney for individuals.
