MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis men's golf team heads to Lafayette, La. for the 21st Annual Louisiana Classics, March 5-6, hosted by the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. Memphis will enter the tournament ranked 80th and will have a new look, with three young faces.

"I am changing the line-up this week," head coach Grant Robbins said. "I am trying to see if we can get something going this spring. I am starting three freshmen who have earned their way into the line-up over the past few weeks."

Robbins has decided to go with a younger line-up for this tournament. Traveling to Louisiana and the line-up for the tournament will be freshman Hugo Lauzon, junior Robbie Greenwell, junior Kyle Ritchie, freshman Brandon Bunn and freshman Jeff Hall.

"Hugo is coming off a solid tournament," said Robbins. "Hugo and Robbie both are coming off of good performances at the last tournament. We are looking for the other guys to contribute."

Last year, Memphis finished third in the tournament with two players, Mike Regenold and Keven Fortin-Simard, in the top-10. Houston won the tournament, reporting a score of 846 (281-278-287).

The Louisiana Classics will consist of a 15-team field, with one team in the top-5, five teams in the top-60 and 10 teams in the top-100. Lamar is coming into the tournament ranked 3rd. Baylor, Southeastern Louisiana, Kansas and SMU are ranked in the top-60. Colorado, Houston, Illinois, Kent State and Memphis are in the top-100.

Other teams competing in the tournament are Arkansas State (209), Texas State (206), Louisiana Tech (132), North Texas (137) and UL-Lafayette (106).
