MEMPHIS -The University of Memphis golf team will return to the course after a nearly three-week break to compete in the Linger Longer Invitational in Eatonton, Ga. on March 27-29.

The Great Waters Golf Course at Reynolds Plantation will be the site of the Linger Longer Invitational hosted by Kennesaw State University and the University of Mercer. A Jack Nicklaus designed course, the par-72, 7,073-yard Great Waters Course at Reynolds Plantation opened in 1992 and has been voted in the "Top 10 Nicklaus Courses You Can Play" by Golf Magazine.

The Invitational will host five teams ranked in the Golfstat top-50 and nine in the top-100. Rankings are from Golfstat as of March 23, 2011.

Alabama (4), Appalachian State (227), Coastal Carolina (58), Chattanooga (49), Florida State (52), Furman (118), Georgia (13), Kennesaw State (50), Jacksonville (142), Memphis (74), Mercer (106), Stanford (15) and UNC Charlotte (63). Tee times will be at 7:30 a.m. (CT) each day and live scoring will be available on www.golfstat.com.

Led by Jonathan Fly's fifth-place individual finish, the Tigers finished seventh in their last event at the Louisiana Classics with scores of 297 298 289--884. Memphis last competed in the Linger Longer Invitational in March 2008, when then-senior Robbie Greenwell posted a 54-hole total of 208 to capture medalist honors and lead the Tigers to a fifth-place finish.
