@MemphisMGolf Hosts 2014 Memphis Intercollegiate

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men’s golf team is set to host their home tournament of the 2013-14 season with the ninth annual Memphis Intercollegiate at the Colonial Country Club starting March 31 and with action being completed April 1.

The Tigers will have eight golfers in action for the tournament with Lars Van Meijel, Will Pearson, Cory Gaylord, Thomas Perrot and Florian Loutre competing as the top five and David Long, John Luke Tyner and Eithel McGowen competing as individuals.

The tournament will consist of 14 teams in addition to the Tigers with Arkansas State, Austin Peay, Belmont, Cincinnati, Cleveland State, Dayton, Georgetown, Louisiana, Missouri State, Oakland, South Alabama, UMKC, Western Kentucky and Xavier all competing.

Monday will consist of 36-holes, with a shotgun start beginning at 8 a.m. with continuous play throughout the rest of the day and afternoon. The final round will be playing Tuesday with a staggered start.
