The University of Memphis golf team is set to compete in the BancorpSouth Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday at the Reunion Golf and Country Club in Madison, Miss.

Tournament host Ole Miss is set to join 14 other teams: Central Florida, Florida, Jackson State, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Mississippi State, North Florida, Rice, Southern Mississippi, Santa Clara, South Alabama, Southeastern Louisiana, UAB, Vanderbilt.

The Tigers finished 13th in the event (called the Reunion Intercollegiate in 2009) last season and were led by Jordan Payne’s three-round total of 237.

After defeating Mississippi State in a head-to-head match last Tuesday, the Tigers will look to build on that momentum this week. Jonathan Fly led Memphis by firing a match-low total of 144.

The BancorpSouth Intercollegiate tees of Monday at 8:30 a.m. Fans can follow the action live via www.golfstat.com.
