April 6, 2012
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -The University of Memphis golf team is set to host the Memphis Intercollegiate on April 9-10 at Colonial Country Club. The Tigers are one of 12 teams in the field and will look to defend their home turf in their last tune up before the Conference USA Championship. The Tigers are coming off a fourth-place team finish at the BancorpSouth Intercollegiate last week. Memphis posted scores of 285-286 in the rain-shortened event and was led by the Jonathan Fly, who carded back-to-back scores of 68 to claim the individual championship. The Memphis Intercollegiate, traditionally held in the fall, will be held in the spring for the first time in the event's history. In the fall of 2010 - the last time the tournament was held - Memphis finished fourth as a team while South Alabama claimed to title with a score of 878. The Jaguars also won the team championship in 2009 with 54-hole total of 882. Tournament Information Tournament Schedule Media Relations Results -www.gotigersgo.com-
