No. 37 @MemphisMGolf Travels to Old Waverly Invitational

STARKVILLE, Miss. – The University of Memphis men’s golf team heads to the Old Waverly Invitational, facing off against 14 teams other teams. The action will start with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start Monday, April 7 and will complete 36-holes of continuous play. The final 18-holes will be played Tuesday, April 8.

The Tigers will send the same five golfers into action that they did for the Memphis Intercollegiate with Lars Van Meijel, Will Pearson, Cory Gaylord, Thomas Perrot and Florian Loutre competing.

The Tigers competed in the Memphis Intercollegiate March 31 and April 1, taking home the first place finish by 15 shots ahead of second place South Alabama.   

Four teams that competed against the Tigers last week will again be in the field of competition, with Austin Peay State, Cincinnati, Louisiana and South Alabama making the trip to Starkville. They’ll be joined by the host Mississippi State, Charleston Southern, Chattanooga, Florida, Louisiana Tech, Mississppi, Southeastern Louisiana, Southern Mississippi, Troy and Wichita State.
