The University of Memphis golf team will travel to Raleigh, N.C. this week to compete in the River Landing Intercollegiate hosted by North Carolina State. This year's tournament will be played on the par-72, 6,942 yard River Course, with 36 holes to be played on Friday and the final 18 holes on Saturday.

This year's field features 15 teams, with four currently ranking in the top-50 according to Golfstat.com's adjusted scoring average: NC State (15), Wake Forest (25), Virginia (43), and Michigan (44). Rounding out the field is Duke, East Carolina, Hartford, Houston, Kansas, Maryland, Memphis, North Carolina, Rice, Tulsa, and Virginia Tech.

This year, the teams play 36 holes on Friday. Tee times to begin at 7:30 a.m. on the 1st and 10th tees, and the afternoon round is set to start around 12:30 p.m.

The Intercollegiate has been held in the Raleigh area for about 17 years, but was moved to River Landing each of the last two years. Starting in 2010, the annual event will be held at the brand-new Lonnie Poole Golf Course, located on NC State's campus.

The same five players will compete this week for the tigers. Jordan Payne, Brad Benjamin, Brandon Bunn, Jack Belote, and Jeff Hall look to rebound after battling tough conditions earlier this week at the Reunion Intercollegiate. The Tigers finished 13th in that event, paced by Payne's three-round total of 237.

This will be the Tigers last tune up before the Conference USA tournament begins on April 19. Also, for seniors Brad Benjamin and Jordan Payne, it will be the last regular season event of their careers.
