TEXARKANA, Ark. - The University of Memphis men's golf team finished in third place at the Conference USA Championships at the Texarkana Country Club. The Tigers shot a four-over-par 868 during the 54-hole event.

Memphis led the field after each of the first two rounds, but was unable to hold off UAB as the Blazers shot five under as a team on Tuesday to claim the championship. UAB was the only team to shoot under-par on Tuesday and the only team to finish under-par for the tournament. Memphis finished two strokes behind Southern Miss who finished second. UAB finished seven under.

Memphis senior Robbie Greenwell paced the Tigers in the final round, shooting an even-par 72. Greenwell finished three under for the championship and secured a fifth-place finish. Sophomore Brandon Bunn and senior Kyle Ritchie each shot a 75 on Tuesday. Bunn finished tied for eighth at one over and Ritchie tied for 35th with nine over. Senior Ian Rochester and junior Brad Benjamin shot a 78 and 79 in round three respectively. Rochester tied for 14th at three over. Benjamin finished 30th overall at seven over.

UAB's Zach Sucher won the individual championship, recording a nine under. Teammate Brad Smith finished second overall with a seven under.

Greenwell was named to the All-Tournamnet Team. Joining him were Sucher, Smith, Paul Apyan of Southern Miss and Rob Laird of Tulsa.
