TEXARKANA, Ark. - Eleven men's golf teams are set to tee off Sunday morning as the 2011 Conference USA Men's Golf Championship gets underway at the Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana, Ark., with the winner receiving an automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals.

The championship consists of 54 holes on the par 72, 6,935-yard course over three days. This is the third time in five years that the tournament has been hosted at Texarkana Country Club.

Memphis will play with Rice and Houston and will begin on hole No. 1 starting at 9:20 a.m. CDT after a blind drawing determined the pairings.

"We are looking forward to competing this week," Memphis head coach Grant Robbins said. "The conference is extremely strong this year and should be a great test."

Competing for the Tigers will be Jonathan Fly, Jack Belote, Steve Lee, Grant Milner and Lexus Keoninh. Fly, last year's C-USA Newcomer of the Year, has led Memphis this season with a 71.9 scoring average, and Belote was recently named to C-USA's All-Academic Team.

The championship is scheduled to resume Monday at 8:30 a.m. CDT and the final round will be played Tuesday at 8 a.m. Live scoring of this year's Conference USA Men's Golf Championship will be provided by Golfstat and can be accessed here.
