Tigers Begin Play at NCAA East Regional Brad Benjamin Shoots Even Par 71 CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The University of Memphis men's golf team shot a five over par 289 as a team in the opening round of the NCAA East Regional on Thursday. The tournament is being held at the Council Fire Golf Club in Chattanooga. Junior Brad Benjamin led the way for the Tigers, firing an even par 71. Senior Robbie Greenwell shot a one-over and senior Kyle Ritchie and sophomore Brandon Bunn each shot a score of two-over. Ian Rochester carded a four-over. The Tigers are in 23rd place after round one. Georgia leads the field after the opening round, shooting 19 under par as a team. The Bulldogs have an eight stroke lead over Augusta State. Hudson Swafford of Georgia and Henrik Norlander share the individual lead, each shooting a six-under 65 in round one. The Tigers will continue in NCAA East Regional play with round two on Friday.
