Tigers in 22nd Place at NCAA East Regional Greenwell and Rochester shoot even-par on Friday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The University of Memphis men's golf team shot seven- over par as a team in the second round of the NCAA East Regional on Friday. The tournament is being held at the Council Fire Golf Club in Chattanooga.

Seniors Ian Rochester and Robbie Greenwell paced the Tigers in round two, each firing an even-par 71 Sophomore Brandon Bunn shot a three-over 74 and junior Brad Benjamin shot a four-over 75. Greenwell leads the squad with a two-day total of one-over par. Benjamin and Rochester are each four-over and Bunn is currently five-over. The Tigers are 12-over as a team and in 22nd place overall.

Georgia (-32) has a commanding lead over second place Augusta State (-13). UAB's Zach Sucher, behind the strength of a 62 on Friday, is the individual leader with a score of 11-under. Hudson Swafford of Georgia trails Sucher by two strokes.

The Tigers will wrap up play at the NCAA East Regional with round three on Saturday. Live stats will be available on www.golfstat.com.
