MEMPHIS, Tenn. - University of Memphis head coach Grant Robbins announced the men's golf team's fall 2012 tournament schedule Tuesday. The Tigers' fall slate includes five tournaments with four out-of-state trips.

"Our schedule is very strong this year, and features a variety of different tournaments," Robbins said. "We've stepped up our level of competition."

The Tigers are coming off a strong season that included their first C-USA Tournament title and a trip to the NCAA Championships.

The 2012 season begins Sunday, Sept. 2 with the Turning Stone Intercollegiate at the Turning Stone Resort in Verona, N.Y., hosted by the University of Missouri.

"Our focus right away is getting ready for the tournament in New York," Robbins said.

The following week, the team will travel to Minneapolis, Minn., for the Gopher Invitational at the Spring Hill Golf Club, hosted by the University of Minnesota. The Tigers will take a one-week break before hitting the green at UAB's Shoal Creek Intercollegiate in Birmingham, Ala.

Memphis will close out the fall season with back-to-back tournaments in the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate in Johnson City, Tenn., Oct. 12-14, and the Wolfpack Intercollegiate in Raleigh, N.C., Oct. 18-20.
