Wyatt Finishes Tied For 24th at PSINet

Minneapolis, MN - Tiger senior golfer Jason Wyatt is one of just two upper classmen on this year's Memphis golf team and his experience led him to a tie for 24th in the 2000 PSINet Collegiate Invitational. Wyatt posted a final round score of one over par 73 to climb into the top 25.

The U of M Tiger golf team turned in a final round score of 303 and finished in tenth place in the PSINet Collegiate Invitational, which was hosted by the University of Minnesota.

Minnesota won its event with an overall score of 883. Virginia Tech finished two shots back at 885 for second, while Purdue University dropped to third, Alabama was fourth and Georgia State finished fifth.

Wilhelm Schauman of Minnesota also laid claim to the medalist honors with a three round total of four under par 212. Tiger sophomore Michael Prieur, who was tied for sixth after two rounds, fell to a tie for 42nd with a third round score of 86. Freshman David Jeans tied for 45th and senior Matt Cooper finished tied for 55th.

The Tigers will host the annual Hillman Robbins Memorial Intercollegiate Invitational on October 2-3 at The Club at Big Creek.
