MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The newly minted No. 40 Memphis men's golf team is ready for another week of competition as the Wolfpack Intercollegiate hosted by N.C. State gets underway Monday. Tigers Jonathan Fly, Jack Belote, Cory Gaylord, Steve Lee and Lexus Keoninh will play 36 holes on Monday before teeing off for the final round on Tuesday.

"We are looking forward to the tournament this weekend," said Memphis head coach Grant Robbins. "We will be playing a very difficult golf course, and we need to be sharp in all phases of the game in order to play well. It should be a great test."

The event will be held at the par-71 Lonnie Pool Golf Course, which plays 7,358 yards. Memphis is one 16 teams in the field along with the defending-champion Wolfpack. Six teams are ranked in the top 75 according to the most recent GolfStat Relative Rankings, including No. 26 Campbell, No. 40 Memphis, No. 41 N.C. State, No. 51 Louisiana-Lafayette, No. 60 Minnesota and No. 75 Davidson. The Tigers defeated Davidson and Western Carolina at the Mason Rudolph Championship last week and lost to Louisiana-Lafayette by one stroke at the season-opening Sam Hall Intercollegiate.
