Men's Soccer Photo Day with the Seniors

As the 2013 men's soccer season approaches, its time for photo day again and we talked to a few of the seniors about the upcoming season and their expectations.

A. Gross

2013 (Senior):

Played in 11 matches for the Tigers ... Appeared in five consecutive contests between Oct. 12 and Oct. 26 ... Played a season-high 21 minutes against Mecrcer on Sept. 24 ... Posted two shots against Louisville on Oct. 26 in the late stages of the match, forcing a save on one shot and hitting the post on the other.

2012 (Junior):

Played in 16 matches for the Tigers logging 205 minutes ... Played a season-high 34 minutes in Memphis' 5-0 win over Drake (9/22) ... attempted eight shots on the season placing two on the frame against College of Charleston (9/7) and FDU (9/16) ... Took two shots against Tulsa (9/13) with one on the frame.

2011 (Sophomore):

Played in 10 contests at forward ... Scored one goal, an equalizer in the 88th minute against UIC ... Attempted three shots, placing two on frame.

2010 (Freshman):

Made six starts at midfield and forward ... Started the season opener against Belmont, netting a goal ... Joined teammate Liam Collins as the first newcomers to score in their collegiate debuts since Jamie Gilbert and Kevin Walsh in 2006 ... Netted a goal against North Florida, one of five Tigers to score on the Ospreys ... Started the final two games, which the Tigers won by a combined score of 10-0.

Led his team in goals scored in 2009 ... Competed at the club level for the Tulsa Soccer Club ... Coached at club level by Steve Earle ... Played for same club team as current Tiger Thomas Shannon ... Club team was a Region III quarterfinalist in 2007, United States Youth Soccer Association National Tournament participant in 2005 and 2006 and Dallas Cup finalist in 2008 ... Also won Region III Championships with TSC `91 in 2005 and 2006 and won the state championship six-straight seasons from 2003-08 ... Led team in goals scored in Premier League West for 2006 and 2007 ... Competed for Oklahoma Olympic Development Program.

Son of Karen and James Gross ... A Special Olympics peer tutor in high school ... Also served as a member of the Native American Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Key Club and Disc Golf Club in high school.
