Men's Soccer Photo Day with the Seniors

As the 2013 men's soccer season approaches, its time for photo day again and we talked to a few of the seniors about the upcoming season and their expectations.

C. Hurley

2013 (Senior):

Played in one match in goal for the Tigers, earning the win in a 2-1 overtime victory over UCA on Oct. 16 ... Allowed just one goal in 90:27 of playing time.

2012 (Junior):

Played in 16 matches for the Tigers starting all 16 in goal ... Posted a 5-6-3 season record with shutouts against FDU (9/16), Drake (9/23) and UCA (10/9) ... Notched a season high five saves against Tulsa (9/13) on 14 shots faced ... Notched one point in Memphis' 5-0 versus Drake, assisting on a goal in the 55th minute marking the first time since 2007 that a Memphis goalkeeper recorded an assist or point (Tyler Strom vs. Mercer, 9/23/07).

2011 (Sophomore):

Named All-Conference USA third team ... Posted a record of 11-6-2, the most wins by a Tigers goalkeeper since 2004 ... Notched six shutouts, the most since 2007 ... Ranked second in shutouts in C-USA ... Had six saves in 1-0 win against Missouri State, his first shutout as a Tiger ... Shutout No. 18 Bradley in Hotels at Grand Prairie Classic ... Posted a 366:42-minute scoreless streak, including shutouts over FIU, Nebraska-Omaha and Tulsa ... Named C-USA Defensive Player of the Week Oct. 10, after posting five saves in a 3-0 win over FIU ... Allowed only one goal, a penalty kick at UAB, in a span of 484:38 minutes, which included shutouts against FIU, UNO, Tulsa and Kentucky.

Prior to Memphis:

Starting keeper for Lambuth University, going 12-5-2 with six shutouts ... Had a 0.87 goals-against average, 26th-best in NAIA ... Helped the Eagles to the A.I.I. Conference finals ... Before coming to the U.S. to attend college, competed for and captained storied Irish prep program Colaiste Ide, the same program that has produced a number of star Tigers as well as head coach Richie Grant ... Helped lead Colaiste Ide to the CFAI Final in 2010.
