MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Freshman Hunter Danna scored his first two career goals in the second half to spark Memphis to a 2-1 victory over Oral Roberts on Sunday afternoon. With the victory, the University of Memphis Men's Soccer program has reached 300 all-time victories.

Memphis scored twice in the last five minutes of the match to earn the comeback victory. Memphis outshot the Golden Eagles 13-1 in the match. Mark Sherrod and Benjamin Ciosanski led the team with three shots each. Cody Uzcategui earned his third win of the season in goal.

After a scoreless first half, Oral Roberts got on the board first with a 67th minute goal from Alex White. White was able to head the ball past Tigers goalkeeper Uzcategui after a cross from Juan Diego Padilla. 

The Tigers kept the pressure on the Golden Eagles' and broke through in the 85th minute. Mark Sherrod created the opportunity after making a strong run toward the box. He passed the ball to Benjamin Ciosanksi, who delivered a great to pass to Danna who was able to chip the ball past ORU keeper Ben LaCourse.

With the game tied, Memphis pulled out the victory just before the game ended. In the 87th minute, Memphis was able to get two consecutive corner kicks. On the second kick, Sherrod get his head on a ball from Liam Collins, and Danna was able to knock the loose ball into the net.

Both defenses were strong in the first half, as neither side produced many chances. The Tigers had the best chance in the 32nd minute when Sherrod hit the post on a shot from outside the box. Memphis ended the half with four shots.

The Memphis defense produced another strong performance in the victory.

Memphis earned a second-place finish in the Memphis/UCA Classic. Central Arkansas took home the team title. Freshman Jordan Klipsch, Spencer Moeller and Hunter Danna earned All-Tournament team honors for the Tigers. 

Memphis returns to action next weekend in Birmingham, Ala. The team faces off with East Tennessee State on Friday and Charlotte on Sunday in the UAB "Soccer For a Cure" Classic. Kickoff for Friday's game against ETSU is set for 4:30 p.m. CT at West Campus Field on the UAB campus.
