Memphis, Tenn.-The Memphis men's soccer team concluded its weekend double header in Fullerton, Calif. with a double overtime scoreless draw against Cal State Northridge.

"Both teams had good chances to win, even in extra time," said Memphis coach Richie Grant.

A sharp strike from Tiger midfielder Jordan Lynn nearly gave the Tigers a victory, but his shot hit the crossbar. No one was able to find the net.

"It was a very difficult game," Grant said. "It took a fantastic amount of energy from both teams."

Sophomore defender Rick Alleman had a strong weekend on defense, earning him his second all tournament selection this season. Kevin Walsh also made the all tournament team.

Grant and the Tigers look forward to returning to Memphis to host Central Florida on Saturday to kick off the Conference USA portion of the schedule. Game time is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Mike Rose Soccer Complex.
