Men's Soccer Shutout by Cincinnati, 2-0

MEMPHIS, Tenn.-- - The University of Memphis men's soccer team was shutout for the second time in three games Wednesday as Cincinnati blanked the Tigers 2-0 in Conference USA action at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex. It was all Cincinnati (4-1-4, 1-0-1 C-USA) throughout the match as the Bearcats went ahead at the 19:24 mark on a goal by Wiremu Patrick. John Liersemann was credited with the assist. The Bearcats increased the lead to 2-0 with a free kick goal from just outside the 18-yard penalty box by Josh Gardner. Memphis (3-4-1, 0-2-1 C-USA) was unable to muster much offense on the evening as they managed to get off 11 shot with just two shots on goal to Cincinnati's seven.
The Tigers will now travel to Milwaukee for a conference matchup with Marquette on Sat., Oct. 4.
