MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The University of Memphis men's soccer team faced Oral Roberts University today at home at Echles field. The Tigers looked like a team with a vengeance, and pushed the pace offensively from the outset. In the 14th minute of the first half, Justin Stralka opened the scoring with a goal assisted by Stephen Lewis and Steven Brooks.

Then, fifteen minutes later, Sean Fraser scored his team leading 9th goal of the season off of a pass from Steven Brooks, and the Tigers took a 2-0 lead into halftime. The score would remain 2-0 until late into the game.

With under two minutes to play in regulation, Steven Brooks finished the scoring by taking a pass from goalkeeper Brian Covey and blasting a shot past the ORU keeper to make the final score 3-0. The Tigers outshot the Golden Eagles 19-5, and Covey was only forced to make 2 saves en route to his second shutout of the season.

The Tigers close out their season at home on Friday evening, November 5th, at 7:00 at Echles Field. It will be the final game for Tiger seniors Brian Covey, Steven Brooks, Philip Thiele, Joey Lewis, Carl Schmitt, and Brandon Crossett.
