MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis men's soccer program names three to the NSCAA/adidas University Men Scholar All-South Region team. Jared Britcher, Robert Sausaman and Adam Montgomery all received spots on the respective teams.
Britcher was named to the all-south region first team. Britcher holds a cumulative grade point average of 3.68, and the Tennessee native will be graduating in the spring with a degree in exercise science. He had five goals and five assists this season to lead the team. Britcher also received NSCAA all-midwest region third team honors this season.
Montgomery received an all-south first team nod. The midfielder graduates in the spring with a degree in business and currently holds a cumulative grade point average of 3.77. Montgomery was also named to the NSCAA all-midwest region third team. He started every match for the Tigers this year and had one goal on the season.
Sausaman holds a cumulative grade point average of 3.82. The junior defender is majoring in finance. He was named to the all-south second team. He had one goal and one assist on the season, while playing in every match this year. Sausaman was a solid member of the defense that allowed 12.3 shots per game and held opponents to a goals scored average of 0.89, while knocking down five shutouts this season.
Montgomery went on to receive a spot on the NSCAA/adidas Men's Scholar All-America second team.
