MEMPHIS-- The University of Memphis men's soccer team has been invited to play FC Dallas in an exhibition match on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas, head coach Richie Grant announced Thursday.

"We're real pleased to have the game," Grant said. "It's a fantastic opportunity for our players to play against professionals and a great way to keep spring training exciting."

Playing a professional team in exhibition play has become a spring tradition for the program. Memphis has played against FC Dallas in three of the last four springs. The squads last met in 2006 and Dallas came away with a 2-0 win. The Tigers have also faced professional teams in Kansas City and Atlanta in recent years.

The match will begin at 5 p.m.
