@UMTigerSoccer Welcomes Midfielder Danny Lane

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis men's soccer team has received a National Letter of Intent from student-athlete Danny Lane for 2014-2015, the University of Memphis Athletic Department announced on Monday.
Lane is a central midfielder from Bradenton, Fla. and played as a freshman and sophomore at Braden River High School in the Bradenton area. While at Braden River, Lane scored 39 goals and had 20 assists, and was an All-County Honorable Mention selection as a sophomore.
Lane has spent the past two years training in Holland and Germany, as well as playing club soccer in the United States. During the club season, Lane was a member of FC Sarasota (2008-11), Clearwater Chargers USSDA (2011-13) and Orlando City USSDA (2013-14). The Florida native has scored 52 goals and posted 25 assists in club competition since 2010.
Danny Lee Lane II was born in Tallahassee, Fla. and is the son of Danny and Vicki Lane. He enjoys basketball, tennis, football, volleyball fishing and golf when he is not on the pitch.
