DALLAS- A winter storm moved through the Dallas area overnight and dumped one to three inches of snow, forcing the cancellation of the Tigers' spring-opening marquee matchup with the Dallas Burn of the MLS.

"Obviously we are disappointed, but what can you do?" said head coach Richie Grant. "We hope to continue our relationship with the Burn next year."

Memphis will now open spring competition in the Memphis Cup on Sat., Feb. 21. The Tigers will face Lambuth at 10:30 a.m., at Rhodes, in the first round. The Consolation and Championship matches will kickoff at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. respectively at Echles Field.
