FRISCO, Texas - The University of Memphis men's soccer team fell 2-0 to FC Dallas in its first exhibition match of this spring. Head coach Richie Grant was pleased with effort of his team.

"The players were really brave. We passed very well," Grant said. "We kept our shape defensively and looked organized."

FC Dallas scored a goal early in the first half and added another early in the second half to set the 2-0 score.

"I'm proud of the effort we gave," Grant added. "It was a great experience for the players and I'm glad we able to take advantage of this opportunity. It was a good start to the spring."

The Tigers will be back in spring exhibition on Friday, Feb. 22 when they take on Lambuth University at the Mike Rose soccer complex. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
