MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Tennessee U 23 defeated the Tigers Friday night after a head-to-head battle at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex. Memphis was unable to get ahead, after a very competitive match-up. The Tigers faced Tennessee U 23 for the second time this spring, falling 3-2.

Jared Britcher scored the first Tiger goal 64 minutes into the second half with an assist from Tripp Harkins. Following Britcher's goal, 66 minutes into the half, the other team knocked the ball in the goal from a cross kick by Thomas Hyland, giving Memphis a score on an own goal.

Tyler Strom was the goalkeeper for the first half of the game, with Michael Goodlett taking over in the second half. Strom gave up two goals in the first half. Goodlett tallied four saves and gave up one goal in the second half.

Brian Farrell was named the Man of the Match, following his solid performance. He was playing in his first game back, after being out with an injury.
