Men's Soccer Set to Host Silent Auction
April 13, 2004 MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- - The University of Memphis men's soccer program will host its annual silent auction on Thurs., April 15, in the lobby of the Murphy Athletic Complex at South Campus. Head football coach Tommy West will be the event's featured speaker. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., followed by West at 7:15. Items will available for bidding from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Dave Woloshin, voice of Tiger football and basketball, will serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the evening that will showcase a host of memorabilia for purchase. Items available include a soccer ball autographed by Frank Borghi and Gino Pariani, two members of the 1950 U.S. World Cup team; a USA Soccer jersey autographed by team member Richard Mulrooney; memorabilia from Major League Soccer, the Memphis Grizzlies, restaurant vouchers, golf vouchers and much more.
For reservations, call Barbara Chapman at (901) 678-2452. Tickets are $25 per person and group rates are $100 per group of five. Walk-up tickets will also be available. All alumni and supporters are welcome and encouraged to attend.
