Memphis, Tenn. - Head Coach Richie Grant received a signed national letter of intent from Graham Gibbs on Thursday.

Gibbs, a native of Dublin, Ireland, is an excellent defensive center midfielder and defender who has played for the Swords Celtic Football Club in Ireland and was a member of the Irish School's International Team. Gibbs is 19 years old and has the potential to be an excellent defensive contributer to the Tigers. "He's a player that we've been recruiting since the start," said Tiger head coach Richie Grant, "and we felt that if we got him we would be a much improved team."

The Tigers are losing senior defensive leaders in goalie Bryan Covey and defender Phillip Thiele, but still have returning starters Ryan Schwaigert and Stephen Lewis to give them experience on the defensive side of the ball. This commitment gives the Tigers five newcomers for next season and the coaching staff is hoping to add several more over the next few weeks.
