Sherrod, Collins Ranked in Top Drawer Soccer's Men's National Top 100 Rankings

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Senior forward Mark Sherrod and senior midfielder Liam Collins each earned spots on Top Drawer Soccer’s Men’s National Top 100 2013 Preseason rankings list released on Tuesday. The list includes the top sophomore, junior and senior men’s soccer players from across the country.

Sherrod is ranked at No. 16, and is the fourth-highest ranked forward on the list. Sherrod enters his senior season ranked fifth in Memphis history in goals (35) and sixth in points (80). He was also ranked the No. 1 player in the American Athletic Conference, along with Connecticut forward Carlos Alvarez, by Top Drawer Soccer on Tuesday.

Collins sits at No. 95 on the initial National Top 100 list. Currently, Collins ranks second in program history in assists with 24, and was ranked as the seventh-best player in the American Athletic Conference in Top Drawer Soccer’s preseason conference rankings.

Memphis opens the exhibition season this Saturday night with a home match against Saint Louis. Kickoff at Mike Rose Soccer Complex is set for 7 p.m. CT.
