Memphis to Face Brazilian Professional Team Botafogo FR

MEMPHIS, TENN. - On Wednesday evening the men's soccer team will play their final tune-up game against the Brazilian professional soccer team, Botafogo. The two teams squared off last season in an exhibition game at Mike Rose Stadium in a game that was won by the Tigers, 1-0. Memphis enters the game against Botafogo after earning a 1-1 draw against fifth-ranked SMU on Sunday. Lewis Ellis scored the Tiger goal after collecting a deflected ball and finding the back of the net. This is the second goal that the freshman forward has recorded in the preseason. His first goal came in the alumni scrimmage, a game won by the current team 5-1, held on August 13th at Mike Rose Stadium. The exhibition match against Botafogo will kick off at 7 p.m. CT at Mike Rose Stadium and can be followed on gametracker on GoTigersGo.com.
