MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Freshman defender Jordan Klipsch was named the American Conference's Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Klipsch, the Oakville, Mo. native,  started in his first two career games this weekend. He scored the game-winning goal in the 60th minute in Friday's 1-0 victory over UMKC.

Fellow freshmen Hunter Danna (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) and Spencer Moeller (Bradenton, Fla.) were recognized on the weekly "Honor Roll" for their performances this week. Danna came on as a substitute and scored his first two career goals in Sunday's 2-1 victory over Oral Roberts.

Moeller started in the midfield in both games and assisted on Klipsch's game-winning goal on Friday night.

All three freshmen were named to the Memphis/UCA Classic All-Tournament Team for their play this weekend.

Memphis returns to action this weekend at the UAB "Soccer For a Cure" Classic in Birmingham, Ala.
