LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- - Sophomore forward Omar Jarun and junior midfielder Daniel Dobson were each named to the Holiday Inn Downtown Classic all-tournament team as voted by the tournament participant coaches. The Tigers went 1-1 in the Classic, with a 4-3 double-overtime loss to Louisville on Friday, and a 3-2 win against UW-Milwaukee on Sunday.

Jarun had the most productive week of his young career at Memphis. The Six-foot-five-inch forward led with three goals in the two Memphis contests at the Holiday Inn Downtown Classic in Louisville. He scored a pair of goals in C-USA play in a heartbreaking, 3-2 double overtime loss to Louisville. He followed that performance with a goal and an assist in the Tigers 3-2 win over UW-Milwaukee. He has now received all-tournament honors in back-to-back weekends.

"Omar's stats speak for themselves," said head coach Richie Grant. "He has been incredible to watch this season and I am pleased that the other coaches noticed his ability."

Dobson also played well, recording an assist in each match, including setting up Andy Metcalf's game-winner against UW-Milwaukee.

"Danny is setting up a lot of goals for us this year," Grant said. "He set up an important goal against Louisville and then set up the game-winner against UWM. Danny is doing a good job of moving from left-midfield to center-midfield."

Memphis returns to the pitch when they travel to Evansville, Indiana to take on the Gaels of Iona at 5 p.m. on Fri., Sept 19, in the ProRehab Aces Classic. The Tigers will face Evansville on Sun., Sept 21, at 2:30 p.m. in the Classic.
