MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The No. 19 Memphis Tigers (6-1-1) play host to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (3-4-1, 0-1-0) in an American Athletic Conference match on Saturday night at Mike Rose Soccer Complex.

Memphis enters the match on a six-game unbeaten streak after defeating Mercer 3-1 at home on Tuesday night. Shane Keely, Fakhry Khulfan and Mark Sherrod scored second-half goals in the victory.

The six-game unbeaten streak is tied for the fifth longest streak without a defeat in school history. The 1992 and 2004 squads each had program-high nine-game unbeaten streaks.

In the Tigers conference opener on Sept. 21 at Gettler Stadium, Memphis defeated Cincinnati 2-0 behind first-half goals from Mark Sherrod and Hunter Danna.

Sherrod was named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 23 for his efforts in the Cincinnati match. It was the fourth such award for Sherrod, who also won Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week four times.

Rutgers comes into Saturday's match with a 3-4-1 record and an 0-1-0 conference record, after losing 1-0 to SMU on Sept. 20.

The Scarlet Knights are led by midfielders Mael Corboz and Kene Eze. Both were Preseason All-Conference Team selections for 2013.

Corboz, a sophomore, was named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 16, and leads Rutgers with five goals. Eze is second on the team with four goals, and Corboz and Eze also lead the team with two assists each.
