Memphis, Tenn. - The University of Memphis men's soccer team will attempt to eclipse its 2001 win total Saturday when they return to Conference-USA action against Depaul (2-5-2, 0-2-0) in Chicago. The Tigers (6-2-1, 1-2-0 C-USA) matched last year's win total with a 3-2 win over Vanderbilt last Sunday.

"This game is vital," said head coach Richie Grant. "We have enjoyed success in non-conference play, but this is our third conference road game and we need to win. We need something from our conferecne away games and I feel confident that we are well prepared for DePaul."

Memphis is unbeaten in its last three matches and is undefeated in non-conference play this season with a 5-0-1 record. However, the Tigers are just 1-2 in league action after back-to-back losses at Cincinnati and at South Florida.

Freshman forward Daniel Ronan has been the offensive catalyst for the Tigers scoring five goals in the team's last four matches. Ronan leads the team with eight goals. Fellow freshmen Dayton O'Brien and Andy Metcalf have also contributed heavily to the Tigers' success with both ranking in the top five on the team in goals with three a piece and points scored with 10 and six, respectively. O'Brien's four assists are second on the team.

The Tigers will wrap up their mid-season, nine-game road stretch with a final trip to North Carolina next weekend to face East Carolina in Greenville, NC on Friday, Oct. 11 before a non-conference matchup with UNC-Wilmington on Sunday, Oct. 13.
