MEMPHIS, Tenn.-University of Memphis men's soccer player Mark Sherrod received Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week honors and was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week, both organizations announced on Monday.

Sherrod notched his tenth goal of the season helping to put away conference foe UAB 3-1 on October 31. Then on November 2, Sherrod scored both of Memphis' goals in its 2-1 win over No. 14 SMU. Sherrod tied the game 40th-minute with a header, and booted the game-winner in 72nd-minute on a penalty kick securing the Tigers' win and berth in the Conference USA Men's Soccer Championship.

For the season the Knoxville, Tenn., native has 12 goals and 28 points, both tied for second in C-USA. This marks the third time in two years that Sherrod has received each of the awards.
