DALLAS - Following conclusion of the regular season Saturday night, the Conference USA office released the final standings for men's soccer and the tournament seeding. Memphis (11-5-1, C-USA 4-4) finished sixth in the overall standings and will face third-seed UCF on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. CT in Tulsa, Okla.

With four conference wins this season, the most for the Tigers since 2004, Memphis finished with the same amount of conference wins as UCF, Marshall and SMU. However, those three teams finished with a 4-3-1 record in conference play. Since UCF, Marshall and SMU had a draw on their record, they finished one point ahead of the Tigers. After the tie-breaking procedure was applied, UCF earned the third seed, Marshall the fourth and SMU the fifth.

Memphis played then-No. 10 UCF on Oct. 29, a match in which the Tigers came away with the 3-2 victory. Mark Sherrod broke the single-season record for goals scored in the game, Liam Collins moved into third place for the most assists in a season and J.J. Greer tallied his first goal of the season. Nik Robson and Steven Lamberta scored the Knights' two goals.
