MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis senior defender Robert Sausaman was named to the C-USA All-Academic First Team for the third consecutive season. Sausaman was honored along with 10 other C-USA soccer players on the academic team. He is the only honoree on this year's team to earn the award on three occasions.

Sausaman has been on the Tiger Academic 3.0 List in all six of his semesters at Memphis, as well as the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll in all three of his seasons in the Blue and Gray, while maintaining a 3.812 GPA as a business finance major. Earlier this season Sausaman was named to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Team. It was the second time Sausaman garnered that award. He also earned the award in 2006.

Overall, the C-USA All-Academic team includes five seniors and four repeat selections. Chad Hagerty of Kentucky, Phillip Fisher of FIU and Ryan Roushandel were the other repeat selections. Fisher and Roushandel were both named All-C-USA for their performances on the field, as well. Two All-C-USA First Team selections were also named C-USA All-Academic. They were Juan Guerra of FIU and Sam Arthur of South Carolina. Arthur currently leads the C-USA in both goals and overall points scored this season.
