MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Conference USA office released today the selection to the 2007 men's soccer All-Academic Team. Making the cut were Tiger senior forward Jared Britcher and junior defender Robert Sausaman. Both are Academic All-Americans, and both were named to the All-Academic Team last year.

Sausaman is a finance major and has compiled a 3.82 GPA in his time at U of M. He has made the Tiger 3.0 Club and the University's Dean's List all four semesters, and he has made the Tiger Academic 30 (30 highest GPAs among student-athletes) during each soccer season. In addition to his academic performance, Sausaman was a vital part of the Tigers' success on the field. His size proved beneficial all season in the back four, and he showed control and finesse in tallying three points on the season with a goal and an assist.

Britcher is a two-time Academic All-American, has made the Tiger 3.0 Club all six semesters and the Tiger Academic 30 four times while compiling a 3.68 GPA in Exercise and Sports Science. The Knoxville, Tenn., native was named to the CollegeSoccerNews.com National Team of the Week and the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week (Sept. 5) following his MVP performance at the Memphis Diadora Tournament. Despite a season-ending injury sustained against SMU and missing the team's final four games, Britcher finished the year as the Tigers' points leader with 15 from five goals--two of them game-winners--and five assists.
