MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Mark Sherrod was named to the 2013 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Men’s All-Midwest Region First Team, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced on Tuesday.

Sherrod led the Tigers in goals with seven and points with 16 during his 2013 senior campaign, and was a First Team All-American Athletic Conference selection.  Last week, the senior forward was also named to the 2013 Capital One Division I Academic All-America Second Team for his work in the classroom.

The Knoxville, Tenn. native becomes the first Tiger to earn three all-region first team honors. In 2011, Sherrod was named to the NSCAA All-Midwest Region First Team after setting the Memphis single-season goals record (19).

Sherrod also earned an all-region first team selection in 2012 after winning his second consecutive Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year Award.

Sherrod finished his Memphis career ranked third in program history in career goals (42) and third in program history in career points (96).
