Finnegan Named ITA Ohio Valley Region Assistant COY5/15/2012 The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced that assistant men's tennis coach Mark Finnegan has been named the ITA Ohio Valley Region Assistant Coach of the Year, marking the first time in program history that a coach at the U of M has received an accolade. Memphis Faces Baylor in First NCAA Appearance on Friday5/10/2012 The 31st-ranked Memphis Tigers will play in the program's first NCAA Men's Tennis Championship match against 25th-ranked Baylor on Friday. First serve is scheduled for 11 a.m. (CT) at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre on the campus of Mississippi State. Tigers Men's Tennis Climbs In Rankings to No. 315/9/2012 The April 30th rankings for men's tennis were released by the ITA last night and the University of Memphis men's tennis team jumped from No. 33 to No. 31. Memphis (19-5) finished runner-up in the Conference USA Men's Tennis Championship and earned the program's first berth into the NCAA Championships.
