Fall 2008: Opened the fall season by advancing to the championship match of the gray singles flight at the 2008 Blue and Gray Invitational in Montgomery, Ala., with a defeat of Jan Miskos of North Alabama, 7-5, 6-3 ... In the second round he upended Dmitri Caron of Columbus State, 6-1, 1-6, 6-4 ... At the D'Nova ITA National Championships in Tulsa, Okla., lost to George Chanturia of Oklahoma in the first round, 6-3, 7-6(7) ... Advanced to the quarterfinals of the ULL Invitational with two wins ... Earned victory over Pavel Derkay of S.E. Louisiana, 6-1, 6-0 in the first round ... Defeated former Tiger teammate Cody Loup of LSU in the Round of 16, 6-1, 6-1 ... In the quarterfinals fell to Vlad Popa of Nicholls State, 6-4, 7-5...In doubles, teamed with Spencer Heflin to win one match at the Crimson Tide Invite, getting the 8-0 victory over Chase Price and Tyler Pullen of Chattanooga ... Fell in the second round of doubles to Carl Abalos and Carson Kadi of Southern Miss, 8-5.
Spring 2008: Put up the most overall wins of any U of M player as a freshman, amassing 19 victories in 2008 ... Compiled a 11-10 single dual record ... Was 2-2 at the No. 2 singles spot ... Put up a record of 1-0 at the No. 3 position ... Had a mark of 8-8 in the No. 4 hole ... Had a 5-3 overall doubles record ... Teamed with Benedikt Fischer at the No. 3 doubles spot for an overall record of 5-2 ... Partnered with Spencer Heflin for a 0-1 doubles record.
Fall 2007: Posted a singles record of 8-4 in the Fall ... Advanced to the finals of the UNF Invitational after beating his opponents from North Florida, Sanford and Florida Atlantic ... Won four singles matches at the Southern Intercollegiates, defeating his opposition from Belmont, Western Kentucky, N.C. State and Georgia State ... Went 4-2 in doubles during the Fall season ... Teamed with Benedikt Fischer to win three doubles matches at the MTSU Invitational, defeating opponents from Belmont, Austin Peay and MTSU.
Personal: Born May 31st...Is the second German player to sign with the Tigers since Paul Goebel took over the program, following Michael Jetter (2005-06)...Was 12-5 in doubles on the ITF Junior Circuit, winning the doubles tournament at a tournametn in Malta on the hardcourts in 2005...In January of 2006, he advanced to the quarters of the CASIO ITF Junior Tournament on carpet in Germany in doubles after also appearing in the quarterfinals at the Leeuwenbergh Open in 2005 on clay in the Netherlands.
