Fall 2009: Defeated Belmont's Johnny Murrell, 6-2, 6-3, in first round of C2 singles flight at Steve Baras Memorial Tournament in Chattanooga...Fell in the second round to Kennesaw State's Tyler Mills, 7-6(6), 7-6(5)...Lost in main draw of Musso flight at Crimson Tide Fall Invite to UAB's John Hollimon, 7-6, 6-4...Bounced back to win consolation title...Upended MTSU's Alex McCann, 6-4, 6-7, 6-4, in first round of consolation bracket...Defeated Tulane's Chris Sommers, 6-0, 6-1, in second consolation match...Upended Georgia Southern's Sebastian Felt, 6-3, 6-3, for consolation championship...Teamed with John Taylor to advance to finals of A1 doubles flight at Steve Baras Memorial Tournament in Chattanooga...Upended Lee's Tyler Jeffers and Michael Yokosuk, 8-1, in the first round...Took down Austin Peay's Sean Bailey and Henrique Norbiato, 8-5, in the second round...Defeated Middle Tennessee's Richard Cowden and Matthew Langley, 8-6...Teamed with Michael Janz at Crimson Tide Fall Invite...Pair fell to nation's No. 1 doubles duo, Sandgren and Smith of Tennessee, 8-3.

Spring 2009: Went 1-0 in singles during dual matches, upending opponent from Glendale Community College, 6-0, 6-0...Went 1-2 at South Florida Invitational, picked up win over Florida A&M's Marc Atkinson, 2-6, 6-1, 6-2...Teamed with Leon Nasemann in doubles to go 3-3 at the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles spots...Went 2-3 at No. 1 doubles with Michael Hayes...Partnered with Jorge Vazquez to go 6-6 in doubles.

Fall 2008: Lost a first round bout with Southern Miss' Strate Krstevski at the 2008 Crimson Tide Invite, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2...Came back in the consolation bracket and defeated Felipe Sylva of Southern Miss, 6-3, 6-1...Lost two matches at the North Florida Invite, falling to Tomas Dobrotka of South Carolina State, 4-6, 7-6(4), 6-3...In the consolation round, lost to Dan Vardag of Florida Atlantic, 6-2, 6-0...At the ULL Invitational, lost to Rohan Shetty of Nicholls State, 0-6, 7-6, 7-6, in the first round...In doubles play, teamed with Michael Gaerthoeffner to upend Chase Price and Tyler Pullen of Chattanooga, 8-0, in the first round of the Crimson Tide Invite...Fell to Carl Abalos and Carson Kadi of Southern Miss, 8-5, in the second round of the Crimson Tide Invite.

Spring 2008: Was 6-6 in singles play overall...Was 0-1 in duals play at the No. 4 position...Teamed with Charlie Ramsay to put a 4-1 overall record...Partnered with Leon Nasemann for a 5-3 mark at the No. 2 position...Teamed with Jordan Smith at the No. 3 position to go 3-5.

Fall 2007: Won five of his first six singles matches of the fall, opening with three straight wins at the Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational...He advanced to the finals of the A2 Singles draw, but would have faced teammate Michael Gaerthoeffner, so the match was not played...He then suffered a tough 1-6, 7-5, 7-5 loss to Louisville's Pablo Camaco in the first round of the Southern Intercollegiate Championships, but bounced back to win a 2-6, 6-4, 10-6 match over Wofford's Richard Kai in the consolation bracket...He then won his opening match at the North Florida tournament before falling to FAU's Joe Cadogan in straight sets...He fell in his final two singles matches of the fall, facing SEC foes Houssam Yassine of Alabama and Adam Baker of Vanderbilt at the ITA Southeast Championships...Teamed with Charlie Ramsay for five doubles matches, posting a 4-1 mark...The tandem advanced to the finals of their doubles bracket with two straight wins to open the fall at the Middle Tennessee tournament, but would have faced their Tiger teammates, so the championship match was not played...The doubles line-up was switched for the next tournament, where Ramsay teamed with Amrit Narasimhan, so Heflin teamed with Michael Gaerthoeffner, falling in the Round of 32 at the Southern Intercollegiates...Was reunited with Ramsay for the North Florida tournament, where the duo advanced to the finals...There they were to face an East Tennessee tandem, but ETSU was unable to stay to complete the tournament's Monday finals schedule.

Spring 2007: Had a solid freshman campaign, finishing the year with a 14-15 overall singles record, including a 10-6 mark during dual season play...Was 6-4 at No. 6 singles and 4-2 at No. 5 during the spring...Teamed with Garrison Pilant for a majority of the matches at No. 3 doubles, where the duo was 8-11 on the year...Also teamed with Benedikt Fischer for a 1-0 mark at No. 2 doubles...Named an ITA Scholar Athlete.

Fall 2006: Went 4-6 in singles during his first semester of collegiate tennis...Also teamed with Jimmy Khougassian to post a 0-1 mark in doubles and with fellow freshman Cody Loup for a 1-6 record in doubles...Named to the Dean's List and the Tiger 3.0 Club.

Prep: Was a four-year letterwinner at MUS in Memphis...Was the team captain in 2006 and played in the Tennessee Qualifying Doubles in 2006...Was named a Commercial Appeal Best of Preps player in 2005 and 2006...Was coached by former Tiger Peter Lebedevs at MUS.

Personal: Born Jan. 23 in Germantown...Son of Mike and Beth Heflin...His dad is a Vice President for First Tennessee...Was also offered scholarships by Wofford and Middle Tennessee...Would like to help Memphis advance to the NCAAs this year and would add Georgia and Louisville to the schedule if he were in charge of scheduling...His mom, Beth, played collegiate tennis at Rhodes...Also enjoys basketball and golf...Major is international business....Picked Memphis because he liked the coach and everyone on the team...Nickname is Hef.
