MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Sophomore Alex Bucewicz won the consolation final of the Milwaukee Tennis Classic, Friday. Bucewicz defeated Toledo's Dipesh Rao, 6-1, 6-1, to win the championship. Rao eliminated Bucewicz' teammate Alex Jago in the semifinal to advance to the consolation finals.

Bucewicz' teammates Ben Stapp and Lee Taylor Walker won two doubles matches, Friday, to advance to the finals of the doubles portion of the tournament. Stapp and Walker defeated Davis (Wisconsin-Green Bay) and Despot (Wichita State) before defeating Western Michigan's duo of Maarschalk and Pathanmjali, 8-5, to earn their second straight doubles finals berth. The Tiger duo won the doubles portion of the Southern Adult Open in December in Memphis.

The duo, which is ranked No. 3 in the Southeast Region, will face No. 7 seed Tommy Hanus and Adam Schaecterle from Northwestern at 4:45 p.m., Saturday, in the final.
