The University of Memphis men's tennis team went 8-1 on the second day of play of the USF Spring Invitational, Saturday. The Tigers claimed all three doubles matches, with the team doubles team of Leon Naseman and Spencer Heflin battling for a 9-7 win in Flight B Doubles, while the team of Amrit Narasimhan and Charlie Ramsay won their doubles match at A Doubles, 8-5.
In singles play, Narasimhan battle for a 7-6 (5), 7-5 win in A Singles, while Ramsay fell 6-4, 6-2 to Florida A&M's Clifford Malivert. Tigers Michael Gaerthoeffner, Spencer Heflin, Benedikt Fischer and Leon Naseman all won their respective singles matches in straight sets to push Memphis' record to 8-1 on the day.
