TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Memphis men's tennis team battled but came up just short in four singles matches and two doubles matches against Clemson on the second day of the USF Invitational, Saturday.

Freshman Matt Brewer split the first two sets with Ryan Young, 6-2, 5-7, and battled, but came up short, 6-4, in the third set. Three other Tigers fell in straight sets while competing in the other three singles matches.

Memphis will wrap up the season-opening tournament, Sunday, against host USF.
